It contains most of the magnificent illuminations from the pages of the Bible of Borso d'Este- one of the greatest masterpieces of Italian Renaissance. It has more than 1,000 illustrations. every page is decorated with broad borders and illuminations of architechtural elements, elegant foliage, cherubs, angels, fantastic dragons, unicorns, naturalistic portraits of birds, rabbits, deer, butterflies, etc....Pages are finished with gold.
