An industry leading full-service marketing and business development firm based in Baltimore MD, VSA is seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team. The Baltimore based firm engages in strategic business development solutions for financial advisors.
Our firm is experiencing consistent growth both in revenue and service offerings. Our company culture is a team-based environment where the individual is treated with respect. We foster a fun and enjoyable work setting and are moving into new corporate headquarters in Q1 of xxxx.
 
The Sales Director will report directly to the President and will head the firm's sales endeavors. The Director will be responsible for both the development of sales strategies and implementation of marketing tactics to support the overall sales goals. The Sales Director will develop markets and programs to effectively position the company's services in front of its target audiences. The Sales Director will be charged with the analysis of the prospects deliverables which include Value Proposistion, web site design a function ability, sales/marketing collateral, pitch book, powerpoints, investments analytics and CRM capabilities.   It will be the responsibility of the Sales Director to provide solutions to create a refined business offering to help our advisors succeed in new business development opportunities.
This role includes strategic initiatives coupled with day-to-day tactical execution. Success in the position will be measured by company growth, ROI, public relations presence of the firm, increased inquires and lead activity, as well as company and product awareness.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales & Marketing Planning
 Lead sales efforts to ensure goals are met timely
Establish sales strategies for overall corporate entity and individual business units
Develop written corporate sales goals and plans with executive management
Measure the success of sales programs against defined goals and necessary recommendations for adjustments
Plan and monitor sales training on data management, client retention, marketing activity and vertical services
Negotiate and execute contracts with new advisors
Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years of financial service sales experience with a proven track record of increasing company growth through strong sales and leadership capabilities
2. Financial Service experience is a must; Retirement Plan experience is a major plus
3. Software sales experience is a plus
4. Strong leadership and client-service skills, with a proven ability to lead people as well as plan and implement successful sales strategies.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline of multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast paced environment, while maintaining exceptional control and results.
5. Highly motivated with strong personal work ethic and ability to have strong customer service attitude with all employees and prospects.
6. Strong character references and community involvement.
7. Strong self-organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow through to meet expectations of multiple entities.
8. Outstanding conceptual, analytical and communication skills.
9. Travel required
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge a plus.
 
 
Starting compensation commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package with a bonus structure based primarily on performance.
